Inventory Coordinator


Position Summary

The Inventory Coordinator serves as Alter Eco’s point person on all finished good inventory management. This role is responsible for ensuring Alter Eco maintains accurate inventories across all our fulfillment partners (retail & Ecomm/DTC) while working closely with supply chain and customer service leaders to formulate and execute internal transfers. Additionally, this role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with our ecommerce and customer service teams supporting our pursuit of best-in-class customer satisfaction.

This role is expected to be remote with preference given to candidates located in the Mountain West or Pacific regions of the U.S.

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitoring the status of inventory across all partner fulfillment centers ensuring alignment to established thresholds set by supply chain leadership
    • Recommend and execute internal inventory transfers when inventory stock levels reach established trigger points
    • Keep inventory synced between NetSuite, partners 3PL WMS’s & ecommerce retail applications
    • Assists in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) across all channels for use in weekly and monthly operating performance reviews
    • Leads inventory reconciliation with support and oversight from Supply Chain Manager
    • Alert ecommerce leadership of any major inventory concerns including potential long positions for activation potential
  • Fulfillment Partner Relationship Management:
    • Support the management of fulfillment partner 3PLs to ensure all orders are picked accurately and shipped in on time to customers 
    • Research and rectify inventory discrepancies and make sure connected applications are updated to minimize order errors
    • Direct, optimize and coordinate cycle counts, inventory reconciliations and root cause analysis (RCA) sessions

 Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • 2-4 years of inventory or ecommerce order management experience
  • Prior consumer goods experience in startup or high growth environment highly preferred
  • Ability taking initiative and absorbing feedback from peers and management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, flexible and with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong computer skills: Excel required, Microsoft Office and experience with an ERP system (NetSuite a plus), various ecommerce applications
  • Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
  • Humility and hustle
  • Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred

 Salary: $60000 – $90000
