BAKED CHOCOLATE DOUGHNUTSOctober 08 2018
We are in love with this recipe for chocolate doughnuts from our friend plantandsprout. A simple and healthy recipe for a super yummy treat!
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup apple sauce
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 Tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 1/2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 bar Alter Eco chocolate - melted
Preheat your oven to 350F. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour + cacao + baking soda + baking powder + salt and set aside. In another bowl, combine the apple sauce + maple syrup + water + oil + vinegar. Add your wet mixture to your dry, and mix until fully incorporated. Add the dough to your donut pan - it should fill 6. Bake the doughnuts for 15 minutes. While the doughnuts are baking, melt your chocolate on a double broiler or in the microwave. Then, once your doughnuts are out of the oven, let them cool a bit before dipping in chocolate.
