Chocolate Peanut Butter Donuts

Fluffy chocolate & peanut butter donuts brought to you by Alter Eco and Plant and Sprouts! A guilt-free recipe featuring our 85% Blackout bar !




  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup apple sauce
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 chocolate bar



Preheat your oven to 350F. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour + cacao + baking soda + baking powder + salt and set aside. In another bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients except for the chocolate bar. Add your wet mixture to your dry and mix until everything if fully incorporated - but don’t over-mix! Fill your six - doughnut pan with the batter, and bake for 15 minutes. While the donuts are baking, melt your chocolate bar for the glaze. When you take the donuts out of the oven, give them a moment to cool before dipping into the chocolate. I also sprinkled mine with chopped peanuts, but do as you wish!
